The Military Order of the Cootie (MOC) is the "Honor Degree of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States," and as Cooties, we are the proud, energetic, and fun-loving guardians of this prestigious title! But don’t let our playful name fool you – we have a serious responsibility to uphold the honor and integrity of the VFW and MOC, and we take that job to heart. As members of this elite "Honor Degree," it’s not just about showing up, it’s about leading by example with dedication, passion, and a big dose of camaraderie.
Being a Cootie means we’re more than just volunteers – we are the heartbeat of the VFW. We lead with enthusiasm, always striving to make a difference and have a little fun while doing it. Whether we’re planning events, organizing fundraisers, or just lending a hand to fellow veterans, we are committed to getting the job done right – and with a smile on our faces! After all, as the saying goes, "Anything Worth Doing, Is Worth Doing Right," so we always bring our best – and a little bit of extra flair – to every task.
But the best part of being a Cootie is the spirit of camaraderie we share. We have a blast while serving our fellow veterans, organizing activities, and supporting our community. We know how to get things done, and we know how to enjoy the process! Whether it’s celebrating our successes, cracking a joke, or raising a glass to our brothers and sisters in arms, we always remember that service doesn’t have to be all business – it can be fun too!
So let’s keep that fun, energetic spirit alive as we continue to honor the legacy of the VFW and MOC. Our service is important, but so is the laughter, the friendships, and the joy we bring to those we serve. We’re here to make a difference, and we’re here to do it with a smile, a laugh, and a whole lot of pride!
