We are proud to regularly host a Veteran Stand Down, a one-day event dedicated to supporting homeless and at-risk Veterans in our community. This important event brings together VA staff, volunteers, and community partners to provide a wide range of essential services to those who have served our country.
During the Stand Down, Veterans have access to food, clothing, and vital health screenings, ensuring that their basic needs are met. In addition to immediate assistance, veterans receive referrals for long-term support in areas such as:
Healthcare
Housing
Employment opportunities
Substance use treatment
Mental health counseling
Legal aid
Benefits counseling
Connection to support networks
Mental health services are available to help Veterans cope with emotional and psychological challenges, while legal and benefits assistance ensures they are supported on all fronts. Every resource provided is designed to promote stability, dignity, and long-term success.
The Veteran Stand Down is more than just a day of service, it is an opportunity to reconnect Veterans with the resources and support systems they need to regain stability, improve their quality of life, and move forward with renewed hope.
We host the Veteran Stand Down because we believe no Veteran should be left behind. This event reflects our commitment to honoring those who have sacrificed so much by ensuring they have access to the care and community they deserve.
